Hurricane Electric Adds TNSR Software to its Tunnel Broker Service

Hurricane Electric Adds TNSR Software to its Tunnel Broker Service

Hurricane Electric has added TNSR® software to the list of supported operating systems on their tunnel broker service, making the process of setting up IPv6 tunnels fast and easy for TNSR software customers.

What is Hurricane Electric’s IPv6 Tunnel Broker?

IPv6 Tunnel Broker is a free service provided by Hurricane Electric that allows users to create IPv6 tunnels over existing IPv4 connections. This lets users and organizations access the IPv6 internet even if their Internet Service Provider (ISP) doesn't natively support IPv6.

How to Use Netgate TNSR Software with Tunnel Broker

On tunnelbroker.net, customers can now select "Netgate TNSR'' from the list of supported operating systems.

The site also provides auto-generated tunnel broker configurations that customers can copy and paste.

This integration expands Hurricane Electric's tunnel broker service and improves the experience of TNSR customers by simplifying the process of setting up IPv6 tunnels, reducing configuration time and potential errors. It's a welcome development for those looking to leverage TNSR software’s high-performance routing capabilities alongside Hurricane Electric's global IPv6 network.

Check it out on tunnelbroker.net.

About TNSR Software

TNSR software provides a full suite of routing, VPN, and management capabilities. Dynamic routing protocols, VRF, VRRP, and policy-based routing enable advanced traffic management scenarios. Support for IPsec and WireGuard®, as well as the latest encryption standards, secures site-to-site and remote user VPN connections.

IT automation platforms like Ansible®, SaltStack®, Puppet®, or Chef® can manage TNSR software configurations through both CLI and RESTCONF API. These go beyond traditional GUI management techniques to enable speed and multi-instance management orchestration at scale, along with low-cost deployment and automated operation.

Businesses can deploy TNSR as a Netgate hardware appliance, bare metal installation, or a Network Virtual Appliance on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
